WALE OJO LANRE BAGS CULTURAL AMBASSADOR OF THE YEAR AWARD
Another feather was added to the already feather loaded cap of the president of Guild of Tourism
Journalists GTJ, Comrade Wale Ojo Lanre
as he was honoured with Cultural Ambassador of the year 2012 for his immense
contribution to the promotion and culture of tourism in the country.
Wale Ojo Lanre, an astute
tourism writer and tourism guru has received more than 20 awards both locally
and internationally in the last two years.

While presenting the award at the Ekiti West Tourism and
Cultural festival, at Seliat Meyibinu
Hall Erio Ekiti , the Chairman of Kayegbo
Communication Chief Morakinyo
Ogunniyi said that wale Ojo
lanre was honoured based on his sterling performance and
contributions to tourism development in
Ekiti state and Nigeria at large.
Also the co organizer of the program and the proprietor of
Star Rock View Hotel Erio Ekiti, Alhaji Yahaya Idris commended for his contribution to tourism development
and urge him not to renege in his
resolved to ensure that Nigeria tourism destinations and culture are
promoted and enlighten the stakeholders and public on the
need to see tourism as a money spinning venture.
The awardee, Comrade Wale Ojo lanre who was represented by
Mr Abiodun Dada commended the organizers of the Ekiti West Cultural Festival for the sensitizing and enlightening the public on
the need to promote culture and tourism in the
country and pledge his continuous
support and commitment to tourism
development in Nigeria.
Other awardees that were honoured alongside with Wale Ojo
Lnare include, Ekiti state governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi and his Wife,
Commissioners , council executives and other distinguish personalities and organizations that have excel in their endeavours and contribute immensely to the promotion of tourism and culture in the state.
