NANS President, Comrade Dauda Muhammed, in a statement in Abuja on Sunday, lamented that students were always at the receiving end of such a strike.
He also noted that the strike would further disrupt the already disjointed academic calendars in universities.
The crisis in the university started when Governor Rotimi Amaechi re-appointed Prof Barinne Fakae as acting vice chancellor of the university, but was immediately opposed by the academic staff of the university.
ASUU recently embarked on a day solidarity strike in all the universities, but the issue has not been resolved.
