Ekiti PDP scores Fayemi low in 2years

EKITI PDP SCORES FAYEMI LOW IN 2 YEARS

Dr.Kayode Fayemi
Ekiti state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP has described the two years of Dr. Kayode Fayemi of the Action Congress of Nigeria ACN government in th
e state as a failure and his achievements as a mere tantalizing mirages which can never translate to real and concrete development in the state.
The Director General of Media Communications and publicity of the party Chief Dr. Gboyega Aribisogan said this today  at a press conference  held at the Millennium press  Iyaganku centre Ibadan.
According to the party,” Fayemi and his co traveller have been able to deliver to the state in the last two years a mere tantalizing mirage which cannever translate to real and concrete development in the state”. Adding that rather than concentrate on pogramms that have direct impact on the people the government has been wasting funds on globetrotting jamborees and expansionist agenda of its party ”.
The party spokesman said further that most of the project claimed to  by the present administration in the state  were  constructed by the previous administration “  the government  claimed it has constructed  103 kilometres of roads in the state, there is no truth in this as the government in the last two years has not constructed a single road but asphalted  about 85 kilometres of existing roads in the state. All this roads mentioned by the ruling government in the last week address were constructed by the previous PDP governments in the state”.  He said.
Speaking on  Education, the  PDP  condemned  the prolonged crisis between the  teachers and  the government over the  assessment test  and asked the government to organize seminars and  to  educate  the teachers on the administration  new policy rather than  witchhunting the teachers through the  assessment test  which they believed  the government want to use as a basis to sack  some of them.
“ We are not against teachers assessment  but  the government rather than  using force on the teachers to  organize training and retraining  for the teachers, PDP ruled the state  for  seven and half years and there was never a time the teachers union were shabbily treated like this”  Chief  Aribisogan  maintained.
While  condemning  the  lingering crisis between the  government and the   Local government Union ,PDP spokesman  said” Ekiti state PDP condemn the continued strangulation of the third tier of government  by Gov. Fayemi and therefore called  on the  local government union to remain resolute  in their resolve to press home their demand”. Adding that “they must be prepared to fight the repressive and oppressive government. We also call on the people to reject all the draconian policies of  the government that has impoverish them” he said.

The PDP further accuse the government of “ wasting the resources of the state on mundane and  cosmetic projects such as its urban renewal programme, distribution of paracetamol and  ampicilin to people in the name of  health care delivery, distribution of N1 million  naira to each of the wards in the name of empowerment , painting  and roofing of the schools in the name of improving  the education sector; donating  the sum of N5000  to selected  ACN members  as social security for the  aged and  above all lining the pocket of his friends and cronies   through over invoicing and inflated contract”.
While appealing to the people of Ekiti state the party spokesman said “ the state is writhing in pains under  Dr Kayode Fayemi who has disappointed his own party and the people of the state, we are appealing to the  people of the state to bear this unbearable pain and pangs which the  Action Congress of Nigeria ACN has inflicted on them and begin to look at the direction of our party for  a new government in the state come 2014.”
Chief Aribisogan however  debunked the insinuation that the party is enmesh in crisis as he said that all the factional crisis have been settled and the   executives of the party have been  recognized by  all the leaders. He also   disclosed that the return of the former governor Ayo Fayose will boost the party’s chance of recapturing the state in 2014. “Former governor Ayo Fayose is a grassroots mobilizer and politician his return into the PDP will add value to the party and do us a lot of good in 2014.
